Soak in those unique and impressive atmospheres; in Santiago, look out for the macaques of the national park Serra Malagueta or visit the first African cathedral and first city built by the Europeans to the South of the Sahara, cradle of Creole identity listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In Fogo, seek the benevolent yet ambiguous protection of the volcano in a village like no other, where the sound of the violin or the cavaquinho in the evening could deliver you from a certain feeling of sodade.

Day 1
Transfer from the airport to the historic centre of the country's capital. We spend the night in the Plateau neighbourhood of Praia.
Day 2
Santiago the African is a perfect island to dive into a culture that is still unknown to us. Tip Cape Verde Now: we offer a wide range of hikes (for hikers of all levels) and excursions - we'll be pleased to introduce them to you.

Day 3
Transfer by plane to the island of fire: Fogo. With its splendid colonial mansions (sobrados), its American emigrants who returned and its nonchalant market, we fall under the spell of São Filipe, a small town shaped as an amphitheatre for those who want to gaze at the ocean and the nearby island of Brava. Why not have a glass of local white wine on the terrace of Bistro, overlooking the small island of Brava. Night in São Filipe.
Day 4
Departure for the adventure. The caldeira, this cauldron-shaped region created as a volcano (much larger than the volcano visible today) collapsed; this enormous crater crowned by the cliffs of the Bordeira is certainly one of the most striking places that Cape Verde has to offer - it is said one has wild dreams sleeping here. 2 nights in an accommodation without running water and electricity - but we'll be just fine : )
Day 5
After spending some time in Chã das Caldeiras we are guaranteed to experience an unimaginable change of scene with stunning colours and incredible sights. In this realm of children, we'll be reminded of literary and cinematographic references, such as the Lord of the Flies where ever-present children give the false impression of governing the village; or Village of the damned for their blond hair and light eyes, a strange feeling reinforced by the language barrier. Fortunately, in Fogo, the screenplay always has a happy ending.
Day 6
We must bid farewell to both the crater and the Pico of Fogo island, before our return to Santiago. Speaking from experience, it is a special moment to see the volcano from the plane, after two nights so close to it. Night in the Plateau in Praia.
Day 7
Transfer to the airport of Praia.
